Leave things: Save yourself and your animals, not your things. Leave immediately if requested by the authorities or if you know a landslide is imminent. Take your pets with you. If you have larger animals, consider evacuating them when an intense storm is forecast.

Evacuate before: the earthquake or landslide if possible. You should have prepared 72 hour preparedness kits for everyone in your family which includes things like food supplies, toilet paper, candles or lantern/ flashlight, fire starter, solar or other type blanket, a change of clothes, your medication, glasses, map with evacuation routes.
