Can i drive safely after an earthquake?

Yes, but...: Avoid driving if possible to keep the streets clear for emergency vehicles. If you must leave home, leave a note telling friends and family your location.

Not necessarily: Downed power lines, structural damage to roads - etc - can make this risky. You may wish to wait until emergency / rescue units have insured that roadways are safe before taking off.
