Nothing much: A cold and cough in an otherwise healthy 22 month should run its course over a 1-2 week period of time. There really are no proven or, more importantly, safe medications that will help your child. Using nasal saline with suction may help relieve some of the nasal symptoms. Use tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin for fever.
