Depends : If the bones are well lined up, but not healed, it is unlikely to cause harm. It is also possible that what was diagnosed as a nonunion may actually be a delayed union and it could still go on to heal. If you have a fracture that is displaced and not healed, it could potentially lead to pressure sores and other problems if it is producing a deformity in the area. I would discuss with your md.
