"Twisted sisters": The paired Fallopian tubes can twist (torsion) and block the sperm and egg from meeting each other. You did not say how they were "untwisted" so it is difficult to say at this point if they can twist again. If the Fallopian tubes were opened from the inside surgically and not twisted then they tend to remain open unless there is a Fallopian tube infection or adhesions present.(Salpingitis).
