A member asked:

Is it possible to get lazy eye later in life? i scratched my cornea in left eye in mid 20s. that eye seems to lag and point outward. can it be fixed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: If there was some "lazy eye" tendency earlier in life before age 8, then a disturbance such as a corneal abrasion can cause it to recur. If you are seeing single vision, this might be the case. If you see double, then you should be evaluated for this. Check with your ophthalmologist.
