Urine culture always: Culture with sensitivities is always advisable as part of optimal management of UTIs. This both identifies type of bacteria causing UTI & which antibiotics will be either effective or not. Meaning whether bacteria are sensitive or resistant to specific antibiotics. You certainly should get urine culture if not yet obtained.
