Nausea on OCPs: The most common side effects of oral contraceptives (sometimes abbreviated OCPs) include nausea, breast tenderness, bloating and breakthrough vaginal bleeding, meaning spotting between periods. The easiest way to combat nausea is to take the pill at bedtime with a couple of saltines and a small glass of water. If nausea persists as a problem despite this measure, please talk w/ your MD about it.
