Yes: You no longer need pap-smears if your pap-smears were all normal prior to the hysterectomy. If you had abnormal pap-smears prior to the hysterectomy, pap-smears are still recommended in some cases. You still need to see your Gyn every year for breast care, mammograms and an exam to check on your ovaries. Best wishes!

Yes: But worry is not the right word. If the cervix was not removed you still need to get pap smears, but otherwise pap smears are not needed. You should still get exams periodically to monitor your ovaries and screen for vulvar and vaginal problems.
