Anyone can get strok: Bad news: anyone can get a stroke. Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking, obesity, illicit drugs etc can increase your risk. A stroke is dangerous b/c if it doesn't kill you, it can be rather debilitating b/c you can't do what you used to do prior to stroke. Luckily, pinched nerve in neck is unrelated to stroke, although there is some concern w/rapid snapping movements of neck
