A member asked:

Is it possible that a dull, intermittant pain on the left side of my neck be a sign of an impending stroke?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely, but: You could be experiencing carotidynia, or maybe a localized neck strain, or perhaps a problem with cervical spondylosis, or maybe even scalenous anticus syndrome. Have your doctor examine you and arrive at a diagnosis.
