A Cortisone: injection might be worth a "try" HOWEVER it is likely that removal is the definitive treatment. More detailed answer with more info (eg WHERE exactly is the chip??) Hope this helps! Dr Z

Good Bye Mr, Chip...: Bone chips have the ability to have a life of their own. Depending on location and history, each has to handled accordingly. It's best to try being conservative and increasing treatment until the issue is resolved. Some respond well to injections and others need to be excised.
