Often: the gastritis requires additional treatment with PPI (Proton Pump Inhibitors eg: Prilosec) and or H-2 Blockers eg: Pepcid (famotidine). Yoyr gastroenterologist should be consulted with your continued pain problems. A proper diet is also necessary! Hope this helps! Dr Z
