Heart failure: Left side (ventricle) of heart pumps blood to body. Ejection fraction is a means to determine efficiency of heart at pumping out blood. Normal is greater than 50%. So anything less is left ventricular dysfunction aka heart failure. Best to control blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, etc. Stop smoking.
