Yes need workup: various causes can lead to blood in stool - most commonly hemorrhoids, tear from straining, or acute infection. If recurrent need to rule out parasites/infection, inflammatory bowel disease, etc. Will likely need to see gastroenterologist, but need more background history and symptoms - happy to consult.
