Clarify please ?: Are you asking about what comprises a healthy diet? Or what the different functions of proteins & carbohydrates are? how to get anti-oxidants, maintain energy, & healthy blood sugar? A good start: eat plenty of servings of fruits & veggies. The more the better - this is where most anti-oxidants come from & where most or ur carbs shu come from. Eat 6 small meals/day. C ur PCP re: a diet right 4 u

Carb and antioxidant: Avoid sugar, breads, pizza, muffins, pasta, fast cereals. Eat whole fruit and veggie OF COLOR. These contain the most anti-oxidants. Blue, red, orange, yellow, purple, green, etc. Protein sources: egg whites, white fish, nuts, soy beans, tofu, quinoa. These are best. Very lean poultry breast and sirloin is fine, too, if eaten modestly.
