Some information: The confirmed hosts which can manufacture Zika virus in sufficient quantity to pass it along to other mosquito vectors include primates (meaning monkeys) and Humans. It remains unknown if other mammal species are able to become ill due to Zika, and thus far no other species are known natural hosts. However, absence of evidence is not equivalent to evidence of absence. Sexual transmission suspected

Primates can get it: It is believed that primates, which includes humans, apes, and monkeys, can catch the Zika virus, mainly through mosquito bites. However, human to human transmission does occur but it is currently (2015-2016) believed to happen only rarely.

Non-human primates: During the Brazilian outbreak, 4 of 15 marmosets & 3 of 9 Capuchin monkeys tested had zika virus RNA on swabs. All animals had contact with humans. This raises questions about whether non-human primates could spread the virus or act as reservoir for infection. REF: http://www.virology.ws/2016/04/26/zika-virus-in-brazilian-primates/. (8 of the Capuchin monkeys were pets).
