Trigeminal Neuralgia: Description sounds like trigeminal nerualgia, This could be part of the TMJ. Probably benign but you may want to Google trigeminal neuralgia. I would recommed you see a TMJ specialist. Can treat TMJ like any muacle strain but you may need a dental prosthesis or an injection into the joint, but be careful. the facial nerve is close by. Topical such as Voltaren (diclofenac) Gel can be tried.
