See ENT Consult: 29 year old male asks if visualized large left maxillary retention cyst on MRI could cause tingling & dull pain in left side of head. The possibility is there but it is best to see the ENT expert to confirm and treat as appropriate.

Commom finding: A maxillary retention cyst is a benign and rather common finding on scans of the face. Most are caused by allergic manifestations and never cause any problems. Only if they become really large or infected are they of any concern and occasionally removed. I seriously doubt that this is the cause of your tingling and dull pain. But in any case to be sure go see an ENT or Otolaryngology Physician.
