Bronchitis: Studies show that 90% of bronchitis is due to a virus and antibiotics are not helpful most of the time. Bronchitis symptoms last about 3 weeks. If symptoms last longer or you develop fever or difficulty breathing, visit an MD. You need an over the counter product that treats allergies and provides a decongestant and analgesic for your pain.
