Gustatory rhinitis: Non-allergic causes of rhinitis (which often causes persistent postnasal mucus drip and cough) are many. One is an autonomic nerve response after eating (gustatory rhinitis). Onset often occurs in the mid 40s-50s. Treatment is available and I would suggest starting with a Allergy consult.
