After 5 years?: Tonsils can be removed easily and at any age. But most doctors try to avoid this procedure because kids often grow out of it after 5 years of age. If the Tonsils continue to cause problems such as frequent infections in the throat or in the ears, them it may be necessary to remove them,. Consult an ENT specialist and get a second opinion before you rush into their removal.
