UpperRespiratoryInfx: Upper respiratory infections are typically caused by viruses which aren't responsive to antibiotics. While there are millions of URI viruses, they cause similar symptoms aka cold. So it's quite possible to have 2 colds in quick succession caused by different viruses. If getting worse (more bruises), ask your FamilyDoc's office if you can be worked in earlier (or go to Urgent Care or ER).

Not a bruise: You should show that abnormality in your mouth to a doctor -I doubt it is a bruise, and it could indicate something else. Do you have any red spots around your ankles? I would CALL your doctor now- it is better to be seen earlier rather than later. I also don't like the fact that you had symptoms following so closely- to me this needs further evaluation.
