A member asked:

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HPV test: By age 30, 80 % of American women will have been exposed to the HPV. Most women's immune system renders the virus harmless within a two year time period. The few women in whom this does not happen, are at high risk to develop abnormal pap smears and cervical cancer down the road. Women over the age of 30 should get tested for HPV.
