Yes, it can recur if re-exposed or the laser ablation did not go deep enough under the surface epithelium which is unlikely since you have been disease free X 10 years.

Yes it may return if: The only way to have dysplasia reoccur is if you become exposed to the HPV virus. Cervical dysplasia is caused by sexually transmitted HPV virus. Once you are treated and paps are normal and HPV tests are normal, then you cannot develop cervical dysplasia unless a new exposure occurs. Using condoms will prevent this. Stress or fatigue cannot make it return unless HPV is already present
