Ovary cyst pain: Suspect you have cysts on both sides but too small to see. Need more details on when pain comes on in relationship to menses. Could be Mittleschmerz. Look it up and see if it fits. I recommend using uptodate.

Surgery may answer: Surgical exploration either by laparotomy or laparoscopy is needed to remove and diagnose your ovarian cyst and perhaps offer you an answer to your question. Keep in mind that your right ovarian cyst may have been and remain "asymptomatic"; the pain on your left may be unrelated to the cyst (unless endometriosis or a malignancy is found), may be due to other causes or may not be explained at all
