Safe and Durable: Amalgam "lead " is a safe, affordable and durable dental material. Many credible scientific studies have demonstrated and affirmed the safety of dental amalgam.

It's not lead: It's an amalgam which is made of materials that you should not worry about. After 13 years you should be seeing your local dentist for an exam... that old filling might need replacement, they don't last forever. Discuss putting a white filling in if it makes you feel more comfortable.

Make a dental app: Dental amalgam is a mixture of mercury, silver, tin and copper. Lead is actually graphite which is used in dental amalgam. Visit an oral health care provider for an exam to check the filling to make sure it isn't breaking down or causing any issues. It is common for amalgam fillings to fracture natural tooth structure over time depending on how large the filling is.

Lead?: I doubt it. It's probably a silver amalgam filling, a material that Dentist's have been using safely for generations.

Yes/no: Yes in large amounts anything is bad N0, dental fillings (if silver) contain alloy/mercury but it is like a cement mix where you only get release of material at the time of placement and removal. Once it is set it is at a solid state.
