Im curious. can gold and silver cavity fillings only be done on the top of back teeth/molars? ive never seen a person with them on other teeth or on the sides of a tooth, is it just not done for aesthetics or is it just not possible?

Yes, Google Gold Front Teeth and look at images. These days people are not as likely to smile or wearing masks so harder to see them.
