A member asked:

Is it normal to have slight left side and shoulder pain with mono? i know it can enlarge spleen...pain isn't severe, but aches a bit. will i be ok?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Mononucleosis causes splenomegaly which would cause left sided abdominal pain that can radiate to the shoulder. As long as the pain isn't sudden or severe, then don't worry about it. Expect to start feeling better in a couple weeks though. Get some rest!
