Yes, the effects of: stress can subconscious, below the surface of our awareness. They can manifest in physical symptoms we don't recognize. If your doc has ruled out medical conditions consider seeing a clinical psychologist for stress management training.

Yes: Stress is hard to measure and affects each person differently. It is possible to feel "ok" while unaware your body is reacting to stress. That said, before saying a physical symptom is caused only by "stress," medical causes should be ruled out. This often means a physical exam plus diagnostic tests.
