Mri shows fatty tissue spot in liver. what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Liver fat thoughts: 1) Increased liver fat can be through the whole liver or parts of the liver AKA steatosis AKA fatty liver. Many causes, can often be reversible. Not precancerous, but if continued liver insult occurs, can lead to cirrhosis. 2) True fatty liver masses are fairly rare and often not cancer. 10 fatty liver Ca masses reported in 1988. 3) Ask the Dr. who ordered the MR or see internist or GI person.
