This sounds: most like an infected sebaceous cyst; you can call it a pimple if you want. It is actually pretty common and results from dead skin cells and oils getting infected. You might try some OTC polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) ointment for a day or two, but if it doesn't improve quickly see your doctor for prescription antibiotics, either topical or oral. Don't squeeze it/prick it!
