Let them be: Nipples come in many shades of color. If they are just a darker color than desired, but the shape and texture are normal, then there should be no problem. Dark nipples are just as normal as light nipples. It's not a good idea to put medication on normal, dark nipples. If unsure, one's primary care doctor or a dermatologist can examine the nipples.
