TakeYourLmpsInStride: Those bumps are called papillae(singular: papilla). Some are small islands of lymphoid tissue,others are clumps of taste buds.Others are mixtures.My guess is that you have some allergies or sensitivities to certain foods or liquids...or something.Like,when I eat walnuts my tongue will start burning & those bumps will enlarge.So start trying that angle.If no help, then a dentist will probably help.
