Yes: Nexium (esomeprazole) is a prescription medication that counteracts the stomach's acidity. you should not need to take additional bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) to neutralize the stomach acid because the medication works well to do that. There is no contraindication to taking bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate), but it may not help more than the medication.
