Today i hit my tibia on a wooden box. it immediately started bleeding and throbbing. the center of the gash is blue, and there is a large green and swollen spot surrounding it. it hurts to put pressure on but it is not unbearable... is it broken?

Tibial bruise: Mechanism of injury as described is unlikely to produce a fracture in a healthy 17 year old. The discoloration which occurs is a function of bleeding and then the bodies response to that. Very common for the direct area of contact to be swollen and tender
