A member asked:

U/s report says: 'there's a small well defined echogenic area in upper pole of lk which has the appearances of an angiomyolipoma.' i'm scared.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Angiomyolipoma notes: While AMLs can bleed and rarely can turn to cancer, small ones are often thought of as "leave me alone" lesions. See: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/415099_2 where it is stated: "AMLs are predominantly asymptomatic and require no treatment." Some folks follow them with U/S.
