A member asked:

Can i take one a day vitamins that expired 10/14?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hmmm....: Whether an expired medication is safe or not depends on the medication, the patient, and how long it has been expired. Officially, people should not use expired medications. Occasionally, the medication chemistry changes with age and becomes harmful. Even if vitamin tablets don't change much over the course of 14 months since expiration, a U.S. doctor is unlikely to recommend taking them.
