Diagnosis: It really comes down to the specific diagnosis for your problem. It could be an occult injury to the area, it could represent a "sciatica" form the back, it could be a presentation of complex regional pain syndrome; there are multiple possibilities. Once the diagnosis is made treatment options and prognosis becrelated known.
