Depends on the issue: If your consulting for a simple extraction, a review of your medical history, a radiograph a diagnosis and a discussion regarding the procedure and it outcome. This could take only 15 minutes of "doctor time". However, if you are there to consult about the removal of a malignant tumor, the discussion could go on much longer! are you concerned that you will not be given enough time to discuss?

Varies: I agree with doctor hinson. This will vary based on the reason for consultation. Be sure to go prepared having a list of any medications you are taking and allergies you might have as they will likely review your medical history. If you are being referred by another doctor a copy of a referral may be helpful but not necessary. They may also take an xray if needed. All of it depends..

Depends: The length of time for a consultation can depend on the specific problem you are being evaluated for, the number of questions or concerns you have that need to be addressed, as well as how detailed your surgeon is. The consultation appointment can vary from office to office.

Varies: Varies depending on the reason for consultation. As long as 90 minutes for a TMJ evaluation. As little as 10 minutes for simple extraction consultation.
