Transient swelling of facial structures would be common after many oral procedures. The duration would vary, and the best estimate of the timeline can be provided by the surgeon who did the work.

Swelling is common following all surgeries. It should begin to abate 48-72 hours post-surgery. Please check in w your Surgeon, the practitioner 1) Most knowledgeable about your need for surgery and the intensity of the procedure itself, and 2) The practitioner responsible for your post-surgical care. Be sure to follow all instructions to the letter.
