Usually this feeling: results from some alterations in your heart beat/rhythm..often what we call "skipped beats" but they aren't really. They are ventricular premature contractions (VPC's)..your left ventricle fires by itself without a message from your pacemaker. Unless they are very frequent or you have pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, usually not a problem. But other more serious rhythms possible; see your Doc
