Urinalysis kid infec: Depends on where the infection is: uretha bladder tubes leading from Kidney to bladder(ureters) or up in kidney. Need to do clean catch urine to make sure sins of infection are not from say vagina or perianal area and not kidney. And may not show up at all but if not then most likely not Kidney infection.

Here are some...: The findings of urinalysis only suggest somewhere along urinary tract (from kidneys, ureters, bladder, to urethra) has inflammation, bleeding, bacteria, not specific to tell where is the exact origin, but high level protein indicates some kidney damage. Then the findings of UA should correlate closely with history and physical exam before giving a firm diagnosis. More? Ask doc timely.
