Yes, but...: Any stress, including hyperthyroidism can raise cortisol and treatment will normalize it. The big question here is how was the high cortisol determined. If this was a morning cortisol as some with low estrogen on Estrace (estradiol) the the Estrace (estradiol) can raise something called CBG and cause an artificially elevated cortisol level. Once thyroid normal, low E2, DHEA and cortisol can all be evaluated better.
