A member asked:

Post partum hyperthyroiditis. tsh is .009. my cortisol levels (through blood taken in the afternoon) was 28 (cut off 19). cld this be from thyroid?

Thyroiditis: Post partum thyroiditis is fairly common, often resolves on its own. There can be transient highT4 (and low TSH), then a transient low T4, and then resolution. Often no treatment, unless you're uncomfortable (beta blocker perhaps). Careful that this is not Graves disease, which can sometimes spring post partum. The high cortisol is probably from stress. See your endocrinologist.
