Possible : Studies have found family groupings where various anomalies are detected in the gene code of affected kids. This has prompted more research in this area and there are some commercial labs doing gene mapping studies on cheek swabs or blood looking for these markers. There seems to be a tendency for some men or women to pass minor but important changes in their genetic material to their kids.
