Can't nail this down: There are so many variables, so little data & so much variation in autism spectrum disorders that It's really not possible to calculate the odds that you and your wife will have a child with autism. If a couple has one child with autism, they are more likely to have another one; it's much more common in boys than girls & more common in older fathers. Beyond that, it's still quite a mystery.

Difficult issue: Newer studies are showing minor genetic information abnormalities in many kids with autism and these were first studied and found in families with more than one affected child. The defect likely originated in the eggs before conception. You likely just got lucky and have little risk because you got normal DNA. The science is still evolving. A consultation with a geneticist may be your best info.

Higher than avg: Might be worth getting genetics for your brothers and you to see if there are any identifiable markers that you share that are commonly associated with ASD
