It all depends.: Normally you can eat or chew with a tooth that has a feeling unless the dentist advised you not to chew on that side for certain period of time. If you had white permanent fillings done, than you could eat as soon as your anesthesia goes away. There are no reasons for you not to chew with those teeth unless you were told not to do so. No: no, you will be just fine. As long as you stick to softer foods and 24hrs you should be fine to chew on those new fillings. We need you to use them if you can because that will give you some feedback on how they are doing during chewing. We can not truly mimic chewing styles in the dental office so please try to chew on them if you can. Any problems just contact your local dentist
