Discuss breathing techniques, exercise and other ways to reduce anxiety with your physician. The breath hold is not effective in reducing anxiety. A 5 to 10 second pause is unlikely to cause hypoxia and should not effect the baby. Eat a healthy diet, discuss vaccinations and take prenatal vitamins.
