My vein ablation follow up was spot on success , per my dr. yea! . may have to take emergency flight , can i & what precautions? laserscience-cool!

No fly for a week: If you have endo venous laser ablation than it is not a good idea to fly for a week. We don't know what kind of procedure you had . If it was for superficial spider veins then there is no risk in flying.I suggest you ask your vein surgeon if it is ok for you to fly. If you had a follow up check up after a week and it was good,you may fly.But use a below knee compression stocking

Veins and flying.: I recommend post vein treatments be it ablation or sclerotherapy that patients do not fly for 2 weeks. If they have to fly before this time as well as any time flying, I recommend several things: stay hydrated, wear knee length support hose, get up and move every 2 hours, do not drink alcohol and take a baby aspirin the night before the flight.

Precautions: Use of support or compression stocking This would depend on when the procedure was performed,as for a few weeks(2)increase risk for dvt
